About Sika Deer
Sika deer are small, spotted deer native to northeastern Asia. They have been revered for thousands of years in Asia for the potent quality of their antlers.
The Sika deer providing antlers for this extract roam vast, fenced areas in the Chang Bai Mountain region of China. The soft velvet antlers are painlessly removed when they have just two or three spikes and are still covered in velvet. At this stage, the antler tips are rich in minerals, amino acids, vitamins, and enzymes, growing at an impressive rate of approximately 2 cm per day.
After a few days, once the deer are confirmed to be in good health, they return to their expansive grazing areas for the rest of the year. Most will regrow their antlers within the same year, which are not removed again. Following the harvest, the velvet antlers are freeze-dried and sliced into thin wafers. These wafers then undergo dual extraction to produce this potent 10:1 extract powder.
